Seagulls's Jurre Everts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Markel in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Bruno Markel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jurre Everts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Damian Florinio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egbert Timmermans, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Igor Orlondon made a precise shot to the right of Jurre Everts. Seagulls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The score stood at 3-3 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Maties was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Karlo got free with Jurre Everts in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jurre Everts was a little too slow when Bruno Markel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 3-4. Jurre Everts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Orlondon, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When Alfred Pals came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Seagulls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Pals couldn't finish the play. The coaching staff of Seagulls protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Andreas Heijen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 77 minutes into the game, one of Seagulls:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jurre Everts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Gaizkine in the 88th minute of the match. If Reinhard Kloppenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinhard Kloppenburg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jurre Everts was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Bruno Markel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bruno Markel really showed his touch with that goal: 3-7. El Kcaizer FC played a much better game than Seagulls and deserved their victory. The Seagulls players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
