Jean Neirynck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerrit Diependaele didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 10th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Sergiu Cobâlcescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Vits in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Rolf Stevens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergiu Cobâlcescu. Minerul Baita -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rolf Stevens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 25 played minutes Portus Ganda got a freekick which was hit by Rolf Stevens. Sergiu Cobâlcescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wim Vits's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Wim Vits struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Sergiu Cobâlcescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portus Ganda. Cezar Bărnuțiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrit Diependaele having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Victor Lupeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabian Grozuță recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cosmin Bobeica was the one to do the kick off. Jean Neirynck hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Mihnea Aristide kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Minerul Baita -MM- made a substitution. Nicolae Mandache replaced Cosmin Bobeica. The supporters of Portus Ganda booed when Minerul Baita -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihnea Aristide didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sergiu Cobâlcescu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 61st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rolf Stevens. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Mandache in the 65th minute of play forced Portus Ganda's goalkeeper Gerrit Diependaele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Wim Vits reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sergiu Cobâlcescu. The goal made the score 1-3. Wim Vits received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Sergiu Cobâlcescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Minerul Baita -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Victor Lupeanu. Sergiu Cobâlcescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Vits in the 79th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Kobe Van Cleijnenbreughel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
