Spectators: 7507 (Terracing: 5631, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Andries Mangelschot made the kick off which started today's match. After 5 minutes, Maurice Van Mechelen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the YR Mechelen and the Sletteenge players grew even worse after the yellow card. It was a brilliant solo performance by Sletteenge's Håkon Eding when he shot the ball into the net to 1-0 in the 7th minute. In the 14thth minute of the game Michel Helbro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YR Mechelen's Jamie Verduyckt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Torleif Stegmann recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jamie Verduyckt. Torleif Stegmann showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 25 minutes into the match, Torleif Stegmann notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of YR Mechelen's Jamie Verduyckt. Jamie Verduyckt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Michel Helbro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jamie Verduyckt. That made the score 4-0 in the 31 minute of play. Michel Helbro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Joop Leemans. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andries Mangelschot in the 38th minute of play forced Sletteenge's goalkeeper Walentin Attermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torleif Stegmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jamie Verduyckt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Torleif Stegmann ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 46th minute, Michel Helbro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jamie Verduyckt. The goal made the score 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torleif Stegmann to make the kick off. Torleif Stegmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jamie Verduyckt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Torleif Stegmann ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Sletteenge booed when YR Mechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joop Leemans didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Andries Mangelschot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walentin Attermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, YR Mechelen's Walentin Attermann threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andries Mangelschot, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Håkon Eding charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Håkon Eding the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sletteenge's Absalon Domini was substituted for Augustus Hedstrøm. Sletteenge's Walentin Attermann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Sletteenge from getting a goal against them. Jamie Verduyckt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Absalon Domini, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute Andries Mangelschot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walentin Attermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sletteenge's Walentin Attermann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andries Mangelschot in the 80th minute of play. With a little luck, Sletteenge's Walentin Attermann got control of the ball when Leo Van Mechelen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Walentin Attermann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andries Mangelschot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 87 in the game by Andries Mangelschot from a close distance when the talented Walentin Attermann managed to make a qualified save. Sletteenge's players were relieved. Andries Mangelschot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Walentin Attermann made a huge save. When Vincent Planids fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sletteenge's protests and gave Vincent Planids a yellow card for diving instead.
