FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Marian Podgoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Diana in the 4th minute of play. Tudor Bărbânță recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Acilia Town's Beppe Scannella proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Acilia Town from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute Alessandro Checchia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Podgoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute Acilia Town were awarded a corner. Bernardo Genovesi went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 17th minute, Alessandro Checchia made a precise shot to the right of Marian Podgoreanu. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. A collision led to Acilia Town getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Carlo Sorge hit a great ball. In the 23rd match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Enășoiu to maneuver through the defense. Marian Podgoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Checchia in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tudor Bărbânță hit a great ball. Marian Podgoreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Diana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marian Podgoreanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Diana went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Alessandro Checchia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tudor Bărbânță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Acilia Town's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tudor Bărbânță 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Gigi Câmpeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Scannella having to interfere. Emanuele Restaino hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. A hard shot 44 in the game by Tudor Bărbânță from a close distance when the talented Beppe Scannella managed to make a qualified save. Acilia Town's players were relieved. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tudor Bărbânță to make the kick off. Marian Podgoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Sorge in the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Emanuel Finteșteanu got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A hard shot by Bernardo Genovesi from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Marian Podgoreanu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Marian Podgoreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlo Sorge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute FC UNIREA Alba Iulia were awarded a corner. Cristi Platon went to the cornerflag to take it. 66 minutes into the game, Emanuel Finteșteanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acilia Town the free kick. After 66 played minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Finteșteanu. Bernardo Genovesi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marian Podgoreanu. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marian Podgoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Diana in the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Marian Podgoreanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuele Restaino. Tudor Bărbânță recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Diana was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. Acilia Town's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 86 minutes of play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Tudor Bărbânță made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beppe Scannella was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gigel Câmpeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. If Gigi Câmpeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
