The audience was convinced that Aldo Nisio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ülo Võsandi was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Erik Vahar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sdny Kryptonite's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Vahar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Serapio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Juhan Viilukas fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sdny Kryptonite's protests and gave Juhan Viilukas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Aldo Nisio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kalju Hindpere's late challenge caught a República de la Boca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some careless play in the Sdny Kryptonite defense, Aldo Nisio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ülo Võsandi. The Sdny Kryptonite fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ülo Võsandi should have stopped the shot. After the first half República de la Boca were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erik Vahar to strike the kick off in the second half. Everardo Serapio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sdny Kryptonite. In the 57th minute, Erik Vahar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sdny Kryptonite fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Laur Moorits had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute.
