Edmílson Catarinense scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Breno de Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nilson Leão's late challenge caught a TaTeRo Boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilson Leão helped the player get up and apologised. Nilson Leão hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Joel Mattos hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Murillo Brodel hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After 13 minutes, Hílton Cosme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oranil and the TaTeRo Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of TaTeRo Boys booed when Oranil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hílton Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sérgio das Neves hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Oranil's Carlos Fernando Proença got a free kick in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Edmílson Catarinense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Breno de Carvalho. TaTeRo Boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmílson Catarinense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Breno de Carvalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmílson Catarinense went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kiko Teixeira in the 41st minute of play forced TaTeRo Boys's goalkeeper Breno de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TaTeRo Boys's Breno de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Catarinense in the 45th minute of play. With a little luck, Oranil's Juan Velloso got control of the ball when Joel Mattos tried to sneak it across the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Mattos made a kick off. Nilson Leão made in the 54th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sérgio Freire immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Rodrigues in the 56th minute of play forced Oranil's goalkeeper Juan Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes Oranil got a freekick which was hit by Nilson Leão. In the 61st minute, Hílton Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Mattos in the 70th minute of the match. Sérgio das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Breno de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 84 minutes into the match, TaTeRo Boys's goalkeeper Breno de Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kiko Teixeira. The supporters of TaTeRo Boys booed when Oranil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hílton Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giovani Viana lost his temper 88 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Oranil fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! When the match was over Oranil could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than TaTeRo Boys throughout the match.
