Octavio Lorenz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaud Schouters in the 5th minute. Octavio Lorenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dany-Adams Wauters in the 9th minute of play. Octavio Lorenz came out of the goal and Arnaud Schouters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dany-Adams Wauters in the 23rd minute of play forced Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Octavio Lorenz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaud Schouters could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Octavio Lorenz made a huge save. A collision led to Santa Maradona getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Arnoldo Lleir hit a great ball. Dany-Adams Wauters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Lorenz having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, FC Bredene's Arnaud Schouters ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Octavio Lorenz. Octavio Lorenz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Octavio Lorenz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Santa Maradona's Octavio Lorenz got control of the ball when Gustav De Munck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Octavio Lorenz made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Arnaud Schouters sent off a good shot on target. Octavio Lorenz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaud Schouters in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnaud Schouters was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Santa Maradona's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaud Schouters came free, but Octavio Lorenz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Maradona's zone, Emanuel Tilens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Lorenz came out of the goal and Emanuel Tilens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 55 minutes of play, FC Bredene's Dany-Adams Wauters made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavio Lorenz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Arnaud Schouters's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavio Lorenz was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Octavio Lorenz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Santa Maradona getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Arnoldo Lleir hit a great ball. After 64 played minutes FC Bredene got a freekick which was hit by Gustav De Munck. In the 74th minute, Emanuel Tilens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Emanuel Tilens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bredene's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Maradona the free kick. In the 86th minute Arnaud Schouters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Lorenz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavio Lorenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaud Schouters in the 92nd minute of play. Emanuel Tilens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
