Spectators: 7479 (Terracing: 5611, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) After a rather tough play, Smiddy Celts's James McRurie got a free kick in the 5th minute. Ciaran McGill kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Robbie McAdam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Lorenz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Santa Maradona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Guter to maneuver through the defense. Willie Dyson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Ian McVey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Vermudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Benigno Vermudo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ian McVey. The goal made the score 1-0. Les Limond charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Les Limond the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Les Limond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the game, Benigno Vermudo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ian McVey. Benigno Vermudo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Ian McVey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Macias, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon Alderson in the 34th minute of play forced Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Octavio Lorenz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 minutes, Gordon Alderson made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Santa Maradona's Octavio Lorenz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseo Guter got free with Ian McVey in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Robbie McAdam's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavio Lorenz was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. After 42 played minutes Santa Maradona got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Lleir. The attack was good, but when Gordon Alderson in the 45th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 59 played minutes Gordon Alderson rounded Santa Maradona's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robbie McAdam got free with Octavio Lorenz in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benigno Vermudo during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Santa Maradona's Octavio Lorenz got control of the ball when Robbie McAdam tried to sneak it across the goal line. Octavio Lorenz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gordon Alderson in the 80th minute of the match. Maximino Pietro's late challenge caught a Smiddy Celts's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximino Pietro helped the player get up and apologised. Maximino Pietro hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Smiddy Celts's Gordon Alderson got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Les Limond blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavio Lorenz having to make a save. Smiddy Celts's Ian McVey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Macias in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Lucio Macias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian McVey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd match minute, Smiddy Celts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cameron McVeagh to maneuver through the defense. Ian McVey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Vermudo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
