After 2 played minutes Free Pot got a freekick which was hit by Severino Manuelo. In the 6th minute, Hélder Trigo made a precise shot to the right of Cosme Cheche. Free Pot's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Cosme Cheche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Lucas in the 9th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Free Pot's Guido Osoitz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zé Augusto Peixoto. Zé Augusto Peixoto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 15th minute, Guido Osoitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Free Pot fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Zé Augusto Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Cibran in the 18th minute of the match. Astor Heli kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 23 minutes of play, Vascogoianiense FC's Márcio Medeiros made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cosme Cheche was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Free Pot's Astor Heli got a free kick in the 26th minute. Elvio Pio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Zé Augusto Peixoto made a huge save. A collision led to Vascogoianiense FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Adhemar Lucas hit a great ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Octavio Pancho was the one to do the kick off. Zé Augusto Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Pancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Cosme Cheche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Márcio Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Free Pot's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Trigo came free, but Cosme Cheche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinei Silveira in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cosme Cheche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cosme Cheche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Trigo in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Astor Heli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's Zé Carlos Soeiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 90th match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Zonta to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when Free Pot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Pio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Augusto Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Cibran in the 97th minute of the match. Vascogoianiense FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
