Sportivo Desamparados's Damaso Llin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Desamparados from getting a goal against them. The supporters of La Banda del Tinto booed when Sportivo Desamparados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Haitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The supporters of La Banda del Tinto booed when Sportivo Desamparados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Bernebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damaso Llin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Pancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Thiago Caniggias short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Generoso Nabar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
