Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VC zoetwater the free kick. A collision led to Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Alonzo Mingo hit a great ball. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's goalkeeper Americo Cordaryal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santiago Inge hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Tim-Jan Maeijnaerts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bobby Aelgoet in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Americo Cordaryal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the VC zoetwater defense, Jeremias Quirce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joey Van Meenen. The VC zoetwater fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joey Van Meenen should have stopped the shot. Joey Van Meenen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Quirce, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Santiago Inge in the 24th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of VC zoetwater's goalie and right to Segundo Mundo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. VC zoetwater's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Checa in the 26th minute of play forced VC zoetwater's goalkeeper Joey Van Meenen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremias Quirce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joey Van Meenen having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Jeremias Quirce cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Joey Van Meenen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 37 minutes into the match, Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Toussain came free, but Americo Cordaryal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Toussain charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samuel Toussain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Samuel Toussain hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Joey Van Meenen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Mundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joey Van Meenen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Quirce in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 minutes of play, Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's Jeremias Quirce made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joey Van Meenen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The VC zoetwater players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ were winning 0-3.

VC zoetwater's Joey Van Meenen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Mundo in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Claudio Baumer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Tim-Jan Maeijnaerts sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's Americo Cordaryal didn't even have to move. The supporters of Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ booed when VC zoetwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicky Van Den Bosch didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 played minutes VC zoetwater got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Aelgoet. Joey Van Meenen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Heriberto in the 66th minute of the match. If Segundo Mundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Americo Cordaryal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bobby Aelgoet in the 70th minute of play. When Bobby Aelgoet came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the VC zoetwater fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bobby Aelgoet couldn't finish the play. VC zoetwater's Joey Van Meenen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save VC zoetwater from getting a goal against them. Joey Van Meenen came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's Segundo Mundo. But to his dismay, Segundo Mundo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
