The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerjan de Visser in the 3rd minute of play forced Líbano's goalkeeper Amin Yusri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amin Yusri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerjan de Visser in the 5th minute of the match. When Dani Tajid fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Líbano's protests and gave Dani Tajid a yellow card for diving instead. Dani Tajid kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Amin Yusri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerjan de Visser went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Sam El Askar sped through FFC Merainies 03's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Taco Joppets. After some careless play in the Líbano defense, Gerjan de Visser kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amin Yusri. The Líbano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amin Yusri should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute, Sam El Askar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Taco Joppets. The goal made the score 2-2. Rolf Mulders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amin Yusri having to interfere. After 21 played minutes FFC Merainies 03 got a freekick which was hit by Huub Harmsen. In the 22nd minute, Dani Tajid sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FFC Merainies 03's Taco Joppets didn't even have to move. After 23 played minutes Líbano got a freekick which was hit by Lotfi Labib. Rolf Mulders received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Amin Yusri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Timo Korfs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Líbano getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Lotfi Labib hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Salim Haddad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amin Yusri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerjan de Visser in the 43rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gerjan de Visser's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amin Yusri was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 played minutes Líbano got a freekick which was hit by Sam El Askar. Gerjan de Visser's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Amin Yusri skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Koos de Kort in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amin Yusri saved Líbano from getting behind. In the 57th minute Wassim Imad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taco Joppets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's goal looked a bit too open when Wassim Imad came free, but Taco Joppets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sam El Askar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taco Joppets having to interfere. Sam El Askar scored 4-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Taco Joppets, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Taco Joppets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wassim Imad, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Kadar Aban notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of FFC Merainies 03's Taco Joppets. Taco Joppets was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rolf Mulders struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Amin Yusri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FFC Merainies 03. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salhat Malik in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Taco Joppets saved FFC Merainies 03 from getting behind. A collision led to FFC Merainies 03 getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Timo Korfs hit a great ball. In the 81st minute of the match Dani Tajid shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Taco Joppets showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FFC Merainies 03's Timo Korfs got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wassim Imad in the 89th minute of play forced FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Taco Joppets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerjan de Visser scored 5-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amin Yusri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Taco Joppets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kadar Aban, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Líbano's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
