Serafino Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Penha in the 5th minute of play. Serafino Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Galvão, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The supporters of S.C. Ferrari booed when Menchu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8thth minute of the game Beto Guedes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Menchu FC's Serafino Aguilera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beto Guedes in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serafino Aguilera saved Menchu FC from getting behind. Serafino Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The S.C. Ferrari fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when S.C. Ferrari's Beto Guedes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 23 minutes into the match, S.C. Ferrari's goalkeeper João Carlos Oliveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Gallardo. In the 25th minute, Beto Guedes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Ferrari fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 27th minute, Luisito Flor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisito Flor in the 31st minute of play forced S.C. Ferrari's goalkeeper João Carlos Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Beto Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Aguilera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Gallardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carlos Oliveira having to interfere. After the first half S.C. Ferrari were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Siro Eufemio to strike the kick off in the second half. Beto Guedes in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Serafino Aguilera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When S.C. Menchu FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The S.C. Ferrari supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing S.C. Ferrari would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
