Gualter Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy Gerber in the 9th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, Misericordia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Edgard Mello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Robinho de Sena made a huge save. Robinho de Sena didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Misericordia EC's Luiz Paulo Ferraz shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When Jânio Valle fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Misericordia EC's protests and gave Jânio Valle a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardinho Paranaense hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Gualter Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Gerber in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Misericordia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Gerber came free, but Gualter Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Abelardo Medeiros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gualter Luz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Misericordia EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SE Palmeiras were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Luiz Paulo Ferraz made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Misericordia EC's Gualter Luz got control of the ball when Ruy Gerber tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jânio Valle was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. The goalkeeper, Gualter Luz, was totally fooled by SE Palmeiras's Edson Chaves, who 58 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 60 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Gerber. Gualter Luz was a little too slow when Ruy Gerber got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 1-4. In the 70th minute, Abelardo Medeiros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gualter Luz. The goal made the score 1-5. Olavo Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Misericordia EC's Caetano Mattos got a free kick in the 76th minute. Abelardo Medeiros hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Ruy Gerber notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Misericordia EC's Gualter Luz. Gualter Luz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dito Donatello during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
