When Ordóñez Cuesta came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Taltum FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ordóñez Cuesta couldn't finish the play. After 27 played minutes Spartans FC got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Raab. Camilo Barriobero kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Ordóñez Cuesta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jere Klein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Bustos Teijeira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jere Klein quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Barriobero in the 38th minute of play forced Spartans FC's goalkeeper Jere Klein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Adriano Sierralta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Spartans FC's Haroldo Redole got a free kick in the 43rd minute. A hard, long distance shot from Ordóñez Cuesta flew over the goal. Rodas Valdivieso hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

In the 54th minute, Vicente Waddington had to leave the field with a concussion. Rodas Valdivieso's late challenge caught a Spartans FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodas Valdivieso helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Taltum FC's Rodas Valdivieso got a free kick in the 56th minute. A collision led to Taltum FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rodas Valdivieso hit a great ball. Rafael Ilardia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Sierralta in the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th match minute, Taltum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodas Valdivieso to maneuver through the defense. After 83 played minutes Taltum FC got a freekick which was hit by Neto Maldini. In the 88th minute Aldo Quilempan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Ilardia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jere Klein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asensio Mendoza, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
