An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Telesforo in the 10th minute of play forced Vännäsby BF's goalkeeper Thor Frykberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a left leg Aureliano Pacifico saved Academia Club from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Academia Club's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Nordström came free, but Aureliano Pacifico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Academia Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hugo Nikola in the 21st minute. Academia Club's Hugo Nikola was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thor Frykberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Academia Club's Aureliano Pacifico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Academia Club from getting a goal against them. Joaquin Phelipe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rickard Hallgren fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vännäsby BF's protests and gave Rickard Hallgren a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Vännäsby BF's Rickard Hallgren got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Joaquin Phelipe struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Thor Frykberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia Club. After some careless play in the Vännäsby BF defense, Joaquin Phelipe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thor Frykberg. The Vännäsby BF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thor Frykberg should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roy Nordström to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Florencio Telesforo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thor Frykberg. Vännäsby BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florencio Telesforo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. A collision led to Academia Club getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Fausto Franco hit a great ball. Aureliano Pacifico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Nordström in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Vännäsby BF's Roy Nordström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aureliano Pacifico made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Thor Frykberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Dolfo, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, Academia Club's Florencio Telesforo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thor Frykberg. Thor Frykberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Angel Gonza scored 2-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thor Frykberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roy Nordström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thor Frykberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Dolfo in the 84th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Academia Club got a freekick which was hit by Angel Gonza. After 90 minutes of play Academia Club's Dionisio Dolfo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 91 played minutes Academia Club got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Dolfo. If Roy Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academia Club's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
