Sundborn IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Negri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Lars-Erik Olsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vinícius Macedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lars-Erik Olsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Vinícius Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josef Blomqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Chaves's late challenge caught a Sundborn IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Chaves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Vinícius Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarl Emander in the 18th minute of the match. When Johan Fristedt fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sundborn IF's protests and gave Johan Fristedt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Johan Fristedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes Cruzeiro Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Chaves. Lars-Erik Olsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarl Emander scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vinícius Macedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the game, Lars-Erik Olsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Vinícius Macedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Sundborn IF's Johan Fristedt got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th match minute, Sundborn IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Fristedt to maneuver through the defense. Lars-Erik Olsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Macedo having to interfere. Fritz Lindqvist didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Vicente Chaves shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Vinícius Macedo made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Johan Fristedt sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute, Johan Fristedt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vinícius Macedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Eddie Söderberg lost his temper 89 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 97th minute, Josef Blomqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute of the match Ian Abreu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fritz Lindqvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Cruzeiro Esporte Clube supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sundborn IF's performance. The match ended with a win for Sundborn IF.
