The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Anjullan AFC's Roman Donzel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Fagildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Paunero's Fabio Fagildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Donzel in the 6th minute of play. Julian Abarca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Edorta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alonzo Gervaso in the 11th minute. Fabio Fagildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Donzel in the 13th minute of play. Anjullan AFC's Roman Donzel got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 17 minutes, Roman Donzel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anjullan AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Donzel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Roman Donzel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Fagildo. Paunero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roman Donzel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Donzel in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Fagildo saved Paunero from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Donzel in the 28th minute of play forced Paunero's goalkeeper Fabio Fagildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Fagildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Uxio, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Roman Donzel notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Paunero's Fabio Fagildo. Fabio Fagildo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabio Fagildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Donzel in the 39th minute of the match. The Paunero players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Anjullan AFC were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alonzo Gervaso to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Anjullan AFC's zone, Alonzo Gervaso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Edorta came out of the goal and Alonzo Gervaso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Edorta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Botello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Donzel in the 60th minute of play forced Paunero's goalkeeper Fabio Fagildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Roman Donzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Angelo Uxio took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Fabio Fagildo to make any attempt to save it. Anjullan AFC's Basilio Salomone was substituted for Ismael Bernaldo. Paunero's Fabio Fagildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Paunero from getting a goal against them. Anjullan AFC's Jose Artizar was substituted for Roman Donzel. In the 75th minute Anjullan AFC were awarded a corner. Maximino Librado went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Paunero's goalie and right to Jose Artizar. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Paunero's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 77th minute, Miguel Pedroso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julian Abarca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Marco Edorta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Artizar in the 90th minute of play forced Paunero's goalkeeper Fabio Fagildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jose Artizar came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Anjullan AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Artizar couldn't finish the play. If Jose Artizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
