Spectators: 7741 (Terracing: 5807, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dadá da Costa started the match with the kick off. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Nae Costin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubens Maia in the 4th minute of play. Elói Perez hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Petre Benga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Edmundo Ceresso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dadá da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nae Costin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá da Costa in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Dadá da Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 29 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Claudiu Bosioc. Panait Agrigoroaiei hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Nae Costin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá da Costa in the 34th minute of play. After 35 minutes, Iordache Vuşcan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- and the Premier FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Iordache Vuşcan. Nae Costin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá da Costa in the 37th minute of the match. Petre Benga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Edmundo Ceresso made a huge save. The supporters of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- booed when Premier FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Dadá da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octav Puiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Edmundo Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petre Benga was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Iordache Vuşcan. Edmundo Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Puiu in the 55th minute of the match. Edmundo Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Benga, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Petre Benga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmundo Ceresso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Petre Benga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Edmundo Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joélson Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Edmundo Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Bosioc in the 68th minute of the match. After 71st play minutes Claudiu Bosioc shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Edmundo Ceresso and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Premier FC's zone, Petre Benga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmundo Ceresso came out of the goal and Petre Benga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 2-0 became the score in the 84th minute when Petre Benga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 91 minutes, Petre Benga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Petre Benga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans cheered their team off the field, for while Premier FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
