The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valdir Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Edgar Josan kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Luiz Guilherme de Almeida left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sipo EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Renan Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Mugurel Moculescu made a huge save. Edvaldo Vieira hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Cacá Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Agudaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Sipo EC's Mugurel Moculescu threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcinho Vianna, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 31 minutes into the match, Nicodim Encica had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cacá Maciel. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Remus Agudaru to strike the kick off in the second half.
