Absoliut's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mantvydas Kaučikas in the 23rd minute of play forced The Obscurials's goalkeeper Hank Grandison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of The Obscurials booed when Absoliut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemaras Dedura didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, The Obscurials's Jarvis Locke got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 30th minute, Albert Day hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 31 minutes, Merūnas Norvilas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Absoliut's supporters crossed their fingers, but Merūnas Norvilas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Hank Grandison managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Absoliut's Mantvydas Kaučikas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hank Grandison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mantvydas Kaučikas in the 37th minute of play. The Obscurials's Hank Grandison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mantvydas Kaučikas in the 42nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gražvydas Vaitiekus in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hank Grandison saved The Obscurials from getting behind. 46 minutes into the match, Absoliut's Juozas Katinas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hank Grandison narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Archie Belford to strike the kick off in the second half. Gražvydas Vaitiekus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 played minutes The Obscurials got a freekick which was hit by Lewis Lawrence. The Obscurials's Hank Grandison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merūnas Norvilas in the 67th minute of play. If Juozas Katinas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hank Grandison stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mantvydas Kaučikas's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Hank Grandison didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mantvydas Kaučikas went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Evaldas Grikšas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davey Adair in the 83rd minute of the match. The Absoliut fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Obscurials had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
