After 19 played minutes Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Morais. When BOA VISTA E.C.'s Serafim Sanches in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Jairo Anjos came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Anjos couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for BOA VISTA E.C.. Naldo Cabral stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Reginaldo Fraga. 3-1. When Silvano Morais fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s protests and gave Silvano Morais a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Silvano Morais hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Neto in the 67th minute of play forced Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Reginaldo Fraga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guto Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Reginaldo Fraga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tony Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Fraga having to interfere. After a rather tough play, BOA VISTA E.C.'s Guto Neto got a free kick in the 95th minute. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Gastão Cesário got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. BOA VISTA E.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
