After some careless play in the Mestre GG defense, Luciano de Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raúl de Amaral. The Mestre GG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raúl de Amaral should have stopped the shot. After 12 minutes, Zeca Donatello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mestre GG and the Tarrasque Voador F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Zeca Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Luciano de Lima in the 13th minute really tested Raúl de Amaral's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 15 minutes into the game, Luciano de Lima recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Raúl de Amaral. Luciano de Lima showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s Márcio Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Seco in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Chiquinho Sergipano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Márcio Barral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 27 played minutes Tarrasque Voador F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Cunha. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chiquinho Sergipano during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes Mestre GG got a freekick which was hit by Chiquinho Sergipano. Zeca Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Raúl de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Madureira in the 39th minute of the match. The supporters of Tarrasque Voador F.C. booed when Mestre GG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano Madureira in the 45th minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Raúl de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luciano de Lima was the one to do the kick off. After 50 played minutes Mestre GG got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Dracena. In the 51st minute of the match Luciano de Lima shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raúl de Amaral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goal looked a bit too open when Elano Madureira came free, but Raúl de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mestre GG's Chiquinho Sergipano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Márcio Barral. That made the score 2-2 after 57 minutes of play. Fiori Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Márcio Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Godoi in the 62nd minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Raúl de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raúl de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Guilherme Nogueira's late challenge caught a Mestre GG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Guilherme Nogueira helped the player get up and apologised. Romário Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Márcio Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Chiquinho Sergipano came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Mestre GG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chiquinho Sergipano couldn't finish the play. In the 78th match minute, Mestre GG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeca Donatello to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute Jeferson Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes Mestre GG's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luciano de Lima who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s Luciano de Lima to fire away a dangerous shot which Raúl de Amaral despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Mestre GG's Fiori Campidelis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. In the 88th minute, Mestre GG's Zeca Donatello dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mestre GG eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
