After 2 played minutes Genk got a freekick which was hit by Christian Moors. Manuel Nelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ioseba Roig in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute, Ioseba Roig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Nelis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Red Hawk Football Club's Eliazar Urruti got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Red Hawk Football Club fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Red Hawk Football Club's Ioseba Roig looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Manuel Nelis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ioseba Roig's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Manuel Nelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Abad in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Severiano Talavera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red Hawk Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With a little luck, Red Hawk Football Club's Asteri Martínez got control of the ball when Maarten Belmans tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Ioseba Roig put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Manuel Nelis. Lieven Cox's late challenge caught a Red Hawk Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lieven Cox helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Genk's Lieven Cox got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Ioseba Roig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Nelis. Genk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ioseba Roig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the 40th minute, Christian Moors hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Genk defense, Ioseba Roig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Nelis. The Genk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Nelis should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ioseba Roig in the 45th minute of play forced Genk's goalkeeper Manuel Nelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Ioseba Roig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Nelis. Genk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ioseba Roig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. After the first half Red Hawk Football Club were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Christian Moors came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Genk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Moors couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the match, Ioseba Roig dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Manuel Nelis, 0-8. Ioseba Roig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Manuel Nelis made a huge save. Genk's Manuel Nelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Abad in the 68th minute of play. Manuel Nelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Abad in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Genk getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Roni Schrijns hit a great ball. Ioseba Roig received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manuel Nelis came out and tried to block the shot, but Ioseba Roig slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 80th minute. Manuel Nelis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ioseba Roig's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Genk's Manuel Nelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Genk from getting a goal against them. Benito Abad was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Genk fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Red Hawk Football Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
