In the 9thth minute of the game Alan Hvalica who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Formentera's Camilo Mondragon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th play minute Alan Hvalica came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Camilo Mondragon. 2-0. With an all-out effort, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Camilo Mondragon threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dalmacio Cisco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lisandro Remicio in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Farias saved Club Deportivo Álvarez from getting behind. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Álvarez's protests and gave Dalmacio Cisco a yellow card for diving instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
