After a rather tough play, SSC Ambrosini's Gottfrid Heggert got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 38th minute, Kalle Sjöö hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 minutes, Ferdinand Geeraerts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ouagadougou National and the SSC Ambrosini players grew even worse after the yellow card. Robbe Van Der Taelen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Forssell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Koen Van Hecke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Martin Hedberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Geeraerts in the 52nd minute of the match. A throw-in in the 61st minute of the game was made by Daan Owerckx with Ben Jaddon as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Koen Van Hecke took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Hedberg. Martin Hedberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Martin Hedberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Geeraerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. SSC Ambrosini:s Martin Hedberg showed great skill when he stopped Jacques Lambert:s penalty. After 90 played minutes, FC Ouagadougou National's Jacques Lambert shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martin Hedberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Ouagadougou National reached it. Joel Forssell charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Forssell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes SSC Ambrosini got a freekick which was hit by Joel Forssell. Koen Van Hecke might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Hedberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Koen Van Hecke ran back to his position shaking his head. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Ouagadougou National players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SSC Ambrosini.
