After 18 played minutes River tu grato nombre got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Thomas. In the 19th minute of the match Marcellin Stoddard sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miles Forbes skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, River tu grato nombre's Bradley Cody got a free kick in the 25th minute. Connor Rose charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Connor Rose the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Miles Forbes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Gleason in the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by River tu grato nombre's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bradley Brasseur was slow to take the kick. During this time Sport Lisboa e Benfica's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Sport Lisboa e Benfica's corner Bradley Brasseur fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Miles Forbes quite easily take care of the ball. Stacey Eason kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Bradley Brasseur took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Miles Forbes. River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Karl Christensen kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 45th minute, Kirby Siegel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miles Forbes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Gleason to make the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Sport Lisboa e Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clark Gagnon to maneuver through the defense. River tu grato nombre's Connor Rose got his second yellow card of the match in the 62nd minute. The referee ordered Connor Rose off the ground. The supporters of Sport Lisboa e Benfica booed when River tu grato nombre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miles Forbes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Gleason in the 72nd minute. Mario Gleason could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Miles Forbes made a huge save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of River tu grato nombre:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sport Lisboa e Benfica:s goal. Mario Gleason received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Miles Forbes came out and tried to block the shot, but Mario Gleason slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 81st minute. Kirby Siegel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Miles Forbes made a huge save. A collision led to River tu grato nombre getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Ace Gray hit a great ball. 1-4 became the score in the 95th minute when Francisco Graham elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Sport Lisboa e Benfica left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than River tu grato nombre.
