The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Grht De Beer came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by LIVERPOOL FC's Valentin Boldur. Grht De Beer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 10 minutes into the match, LIVERPOOL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Forsell came free, but Codruț Răchită reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grht De Beer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Prislop in the 18th minute of the match. Codruț Răchită made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torsten Granberg in the 21st minute. In the 32nd minute Torsten Granberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codruț Răchită saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grht De Beer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Stanomir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Six Pac FC booed when LIVERPOOL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrei Arseni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Codruț Răchită showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Lövgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Charles Godholm's late challenge caught a LIVERPOOL FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Grht De Beer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 46th minute of the match LIVERPOOL FC got a corner. Six Pac FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Traian Blidaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Adrian Stanomir heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After the first half LIVERPOOL FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, LIVERPOOL FC's Marian Prislop got a free kick in the 79th minute. After some careless play in the LIVERPOOL FC defense, Tommy Nordin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Codruț Răchită. The LIVERPOOL FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Codruț Răchită should have stopped the shot. After 83 played minutes Six Pac FC got a freekick which was hit by Walter Forsell. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Prislop in the 88th minute of play forced Six Pac FC's goalkeeper Grht De Beer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Codruț Răchită made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Granberg in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute Torsten Granberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codruț Răchită saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Boldur charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Boldur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valentin Boldur hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The Six Pac FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching LIVERPOOL FC's performance. The match ended with a win for LIVERPOOL FC.
