Francana booed when Oakham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudy Ching didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clive Chien-Kwan in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Cassia saved A.A. Francana from getting behind. Wilson Cassia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clive Chien-Kwan's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. The audience was convinced that Clive Chien-Kwan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Cassia was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Oakham were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after A.A. Francana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rudy Ching took the corner. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A.A. Francana's Wilson Cassia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Francana from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Oakham getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ang Pieng hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luizão Bocanegra made a kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Oakham's Clive Tan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Cassia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 52nd minute Clive Tan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Cassia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Clive Chien-Kwan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Cassia was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Jerry Chong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruy Fantini in the 79th minute. Oakham were furious when Ang Pieng was red carded, 80 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Oakham getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ang Pieng hit a great ball. Cido Vinhas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Oakham's Jerry Chong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean de Barros in the 84th minute of play. After 85 played minutes Oakham got a freekick which was hit by Clive Chien-Kwan. The crowd rose to their feet as A.A. Francana's Luizão Bocanegra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jerry Chong. That made the score 1-1 after 88 minutes of play. 91 minutes into the game, Bryan Hong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oakham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.A. Francana the free kick. Bryan Hong kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Jean de Barros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jerry Chong, 1-2. When the match was over A.A. Francana could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Oakham throughout the match.
