With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Leobardo in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugênio Teles saved SORRISO E. C. from getting behind. Niceto Guillen kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Rodrigo Rolado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Cirilo Aballe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.'s Artur Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 17 minutes, Zeledon Gaizko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Fortín de Floresta and the SORRISO E. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, El Fortín de Floresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Gaizko to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Joaquim Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrigo Rolado was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. SORRISO E. C. were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after El Fortín de Floresta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vítor Sousa took the corner. Vítor Sousa made a great header on SORRISO E. C.'s corner, it was just that El Fortín de Floresta's Rodrigo Rolado managed to reach the ball for a save. 26 minutes into the game, Joaquim Queirós recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rodrigo Rolado. Joaquim Queirós showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Eugênio Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Aballe in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Pedrinho Terra hit a great ball. Aurelio Leobardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Teles having to interfere. Eugênio Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Aballe in the 39th minute of the match. If Joaquim Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cirilo Aballe made a kick off. Aurelio Leobardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Eugênio Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Queirós in the 53rd minute of play forced El Fortín de Floresta's goalkeeper Rodrigo Rolado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reinaldo Marquez hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Aballe in the 56th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Eugênio Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Fortín de Floresta's Rodrigo Rolado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Faria in the 58th minute of play. When Pedrinho Terra fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SORRISO E. C.'s protests and gave Pedrinho Terra a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Pedrinho Terra got a free kick in the 59th minute. Eugênio Teles was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Carolo Beltxe. 61 minutes into the game, SORRISO E. C.'s Joaquim Queirós nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Rolado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 64th minute, Júlio Faria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SORRISO E. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 66th minute, Reinaldo Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo de Brito to maneuver through the defense. El Fortín de Floresta's Conrado Bernat was substituted for Carolo Beltxe. If Pedrinho Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rodrigo Rolado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Artur Branco made a precise shot to the right of Rodrigo Rolado. El Fortín de Floresta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. 85 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Queirós came free, but Rodrigo Rolado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the SORRISO E. C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
