After 5 minutes Atlético Municipal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gilbert Brooks who took care of the corner kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mike Clinton in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marz Arratia saved Atlético Municipal from getting behind. After 8 minutes, Wesley Cage mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inmortales FC and the Atlético Municipal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Wesley Cage hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Wesley Cage reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marz Arratia. The goal made the score 1-1. Marz Arratia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tim Schaffer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 32 minute of play. Cristopher Herndon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nacho Atienza went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Atlético Municipal's Marz Arratia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Cage in the 40th minute of play. Tiago Larrechi charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Larrechi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilbert Brooks took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marz Arratia. Atlético Municipal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alberto Sevane charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Sevane the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Municipal's Alberto Sevane got a free kick in the 43rd minute.
The wind increased when Nacho Atienza made the kick off in the second half. Cristopher Herndon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Larrechi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Llorienzo Salado hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Atlético Municipal made a substitution. Marcos Goxenola replaced Firmin Corneja. Marz Arratia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesley Cage, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 64 played minutes Atlético Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Bastiaro Fresco. 65 minutes into the game, Mike Clinton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Marz Arratia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tim Schaffer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mike Clinton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Tim Schaffer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marz Arratia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marz Arratia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Schaffer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Joe Arroyo put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Inmortales FC booed when Atlético Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joe Arroyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Gilbert Brooks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inmortales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilbert Brooks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marz Arratia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Atlético Municipal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Inmortales FC.
