João Francisco Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaël Moutard in the 6th minute of play. Wilian da Costa hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Marco Ginola was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Kaká Esteves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kaká Esteves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Marco Ginola was a little too slow when Terence Puskás got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 2-0. If Terence Puskás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Allan Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terence Puskás in the 28th minute of play forced Real Sociedad's goalkeeper Marco Ginola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 played minutes Real Sociedad got a freekick which was hit by Rudy Puech. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Nicolas Hoareau made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Terence Puskás during the 57th minute. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Kaká Esteves sped through Real Sociedad's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marco Ginola. The audience was convinced that Gaël Moutard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Francisco Corrêa was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. After some careless play in the £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™ defense, Gaël Moutard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Francisco Corrêa.
