The Last Try
Spectators: 8076 (Terracing: 6059, Seating: 1857, VIP seats: 160) Ivan Lore started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, El ultimo's Eriberto Balesio got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 4th minute of the match Rubens de Toledo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hernan Eron showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Alessandro Mangueira notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of El ultimo's Hernan Eron. Hernan Eron was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hernan Eron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by El ultimo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rubens de Toledo was slow to take the kick. During this time FALCÕES VERDES's players had a chance to rest. After 18 minutes, Bruno Mouricio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El ultimo and the FALCÕES VERDES players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes El ultimo got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Mouricio. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantino Stanislao got free with Juan dos Santos in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the match, El ultimo's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Lenzi came free, but Hernan Eron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Bruno Lenzi made a precise shot to the right of Hernan Eron. El ultimo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. A collision led to FALCÕES VERDES getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Alessandro Mangueira hit a great ball. After some careless play in the FALCÕES VERDES defense, Ivan Lore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan dos Santos. The FALCÕES VERDES fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan dos Santos should have stopped the shot. FALCÕES VERDES's Juan dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Lore in the 38th minute of play. FALCÕES VERDES's Juan dos Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save FALCÕES VERDES from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, El ultimo's Benicio Felipillo got a free kick in the 47th minute. El ultimo's Hugo Fidele was substituted for Erubiel Gorka. After 48 played minutes El ultimo got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Felipillo. After the first half FALCÕES VERDES were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruno Lenzi to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, FALCÕES VERDES's Bruno Lenzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernan Eron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Alessandro Mangueira did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Hernan Eron 60 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, El ultimo's goalkeeper Hernan Eron had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessandro Mangueira. 71 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Rubio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El ultimo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FALCÕES VERDES the free kick. Edelmiro Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, El ultimo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Peio to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Eron acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 73rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rubens de Toledo. Hernan Eron made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Alessandro Mangueira sent off a good shot on target. After 77 minutes FALCÕES VERDES's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amador Gurutz who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Amador Gurutz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FALCÕES VERDES's Juan dos Santos did a great save. In the 79th match minute, El ultimo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Rubio to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Eron made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Adelino Sampaio sent off a good shot on target. Edelmiro Rubio was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Edelmiro Rubio hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Bruno Lenzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernan Eron was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Isaltino Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to FALCÕES VERDES getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Rubens de Toledo hit a great ball. The El ultimo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FALCÕES VERDES were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
