The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In a very dangerous position, a player in Бенковски Тетевен fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Rostislav Donovski in the 23rd minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Günter Wienhold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rostislav Donovski took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Günter Wienhold. Teodosi Kabakchiev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dejan Leuschner in the 30th minute of the match. Teodosi Kabakchiev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dejan Leuschner's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Vincenzo Grifoll recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute Vincenzo Grifoll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosi Kabakchiev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincenzo Grifoll could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Teodosi Kabakchiev made a huge save. A collision led to Бенковски Тетевен getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Petar Koprivlenski hit a great ball. The long shot by Georg Gielchen in the 43rd minute really tested Teodosi Kabakchiev's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Fabien Grub kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rostislav Donovski got free with Günter Wienhold in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Бенковски Тетевен's Teodosi Kabakchiev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincenzo Grifoll in the 55th minute of play. Dejan Leuschner kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Samuel Schweiger got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Dejan Leuschner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Бенковски Тетевен had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
