Enzo Emenon started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Siqueira in the 7th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Samuel Matxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute Paulo Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Matxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriano Joinvilense took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Matxin. Samuel Matxin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Samuel Matxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Baiano in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Joinville City - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Aníbal Paulista hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Juan María Traverso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Emenon in the 33rd minute of play forced Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Gianluigi Joinvilense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vítor Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Samuel Matxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Siqueira in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Vladimiro Garoa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Mandiyu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joinville City - FSCMZ the free kick. Juan María Traverso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Gianluigi Joinvilense made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Joinville City - FSCMZ made a substitution. Caetano de Moraes replaced Erasmo Quirino. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Siqueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Enzo Emenon came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Deportivo Mandiyu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enzo Emenon couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd match minute, Joinville City - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Paulista to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute Enzo Emenon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Joinvilense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Deportivo Mandiyu booed when Joinville City - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Mandiyu's Aquiles Bernard was substituted for Enzo Emenon. In the 71st match minute, Joinville City - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Baptista to maneuver through the defense. If Paulo Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Samuel Matxin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adriano Joinvilense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Samuel Matxin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Deportivo Mandiyu got a freekick which was hit by Richard Tavares. 83 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Veronica came free, but Gianluigi Joinvilense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudio Txilar struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Gianluigi Joinvilense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Mandiyu. 96 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Samuel Matxin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Siqueira. Joinville City - FSCMZ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
