After 10 minutes of play, Capivariano F.C.'s Arnaldo Moreno made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 13th minute Isaltino Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tales Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Luiz Netto suffered a concussion after 15 minutes and had to leave the field. 23 minutes into the match, Capivariano F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Edson-Arantes Pelé came free, but Tales Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Botelho in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tales Rezende saved Capivariano F.C. from getting behind. Miguel Botelho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tales Rezende came out and tried to block the shot, but Miguel Botelho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 35th minute. Leonardo Moreira hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Augusto Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Moreno in the 40th minute of the match. Alberto Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Tales Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Tales Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaltino Arce in the 47th minute of the match.

The Tales Rezende was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Capivariano F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Villaverde Celeste Clube.
