Nikos Dentsas's late challenge caught a AFC United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. GREEN PANTHERS FC's Fragiskos Saitiotis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthew Vall in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Dentsas in the 23rd minute of play forced AFC United's goalkeeper Cisco Rubial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cisco Rubial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babbis Tsaousis, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 32nd minute Babbis Tsaousis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cisco Rubial saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cisco Rubial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babbis Tsaousis, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Nardo Torrecilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nardo Torrecilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nardo Torrecilla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Fragiskos Saitiotis made a huge save. Matthew Vall took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fragiskos Saitiotis. Fragiskos Saitiotis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 44th minute of the game, Babbis Tsaousis landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Eustaquio Vesga fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC United's protests and gave Eustaquio Vesga a yellow card for diving instead. GREEN PANTHERS FC's Kyriakos Tsiantakis was substituted for Babbis Tsaousis. Christos Bolirakis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cisco Rubial. AFC United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, GREEN PANTHERS FC's Nikos Dentsas got a free kick in the 60th minute. If Marios Mostratos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Jason Statham came free, but Cisco Rubial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of GREEN PANTHERS FC booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilen Martioda didn't get a good kick on the ball.
