In the 6th minute Fredrik Aalvik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Dahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Nejat Özsungur scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aron Dahlbom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes into the game, team pollen's Fredrik Aalvik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aron Dahlbom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Tage Lindstad charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tage Lindstad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, team pollen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tage Lindstad to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, team pollen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Andre Agassi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some careless play in the MAFFIAN defense, Anselmo Jaen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aron Dahlbom. The MAFFIAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aron Dahlbom should have stopped the shot. Durvalino Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pete Sampras, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrik Aalvik in the 36th minute of play forced MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. team pollen's Tage Lindstad got his second yellow card of the match in the 38th minute. The referee ordered Tage Lindstad off the ground. After 39 played minutes team pollen got a freekick which was hit by Tage Lindstad. The team pollen fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when team pollen's Fredrik Aalvik looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pete Sampras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andre Agassi made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in MAFFIAN's zone, Anselmo Jaen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aron Dahlbom came out of the goal and Anselmo Jaen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MAFFIAN made a substitution. Alex Vallin replaced Östen Vennersten. Aron Dahlbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Aalvik in the 60th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, team pollen's Aron Dahlbom threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anselmo Jaen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. MAFFIAN's Aron Dahlbom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save MAFFIAN from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute, team pollen's Anselmo Jaen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. MAFFIAN made a substitution. Kristoffer Nyberg replaced Börje Frisk. Alf Säfström charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alf Säfström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alf Säfström hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute of the match Inge Børseth shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aron Dahlbom showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. MAFFIAN's Aron Dahlbom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Aalvik in the 81st minute of play. If Anselmo Jaen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Fredrik Aalvik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aron Dahlbom was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 87th match minute, MAFFIAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrik Zachrisson to maneuver through the defense. Aron Dahlbom was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Fredrik Aalvik capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fredrik Aalvik really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Inge Børseth's late challenge caught a MAFFIAN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inge Børseth helped the player get up and apologised.
