Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fabiano Mattos in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frederico Madureira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee felt a red card was in order, 39 minutes into the game, when Carlos Eduardo Melo put in a rough tackle. In the 40th minute, Carlos Eduardo Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Eris Defaye managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mochila FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eris Defaye was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
Mochila FC's Moisés Hoffmann was substituted for Eris Defaye. 55 minutes into the game, Anfilogino Genovese was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mochila FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguaiana the free kick. Anfilogino Genovese kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. André Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erling Halland in the 64th minute of the match. Fabrício Pombal made in the 90th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jorginho Britto however managed to control. Flávio Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
