After 28 minutes LA InDuStRiA INC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Donato Paraibano who took care of the corner kick. LA InDuStRiA INC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barões F. C. the free kick. In the 46th minute, Tomás Leoncio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isidro Orlin to strike the kick off in the second half. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Paulo Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Júlio Baiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidro Orlin's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Isidro Orlin put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Júlio Baiano. The audience was convinced that Donato Paraibano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimundo Obano was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
