Guto Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cedro Pantoja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Davor Šuker was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Guto Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cedro Pantoja, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Legion of Boom's Rony Teixeira got a free kick in the 28th minute. Cedro Pantoja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cedro Pantoja got free with Guto Trevisan in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Sporting Burgas's Cedro Pantoja slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guto Trevisan. That made the score 2-0 after 32 minutes of play. In the 35th minute, Sporting Burgas's Vintilă Ghițulescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Guto Trevisan. Guto Trevisan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. A collision led to Legion of Boom getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Wanderson Gonçalves hit a great ball. With a little luck, Legion of Boom's Guto Trevisan got control of the ball when Davor Šuker tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Guto Trevisan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ke Xiong Chen went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexis Mac Allister got free with Álvaro Perpiñán in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the game, Rony Teixeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Legion of Boom's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Burgas the free kick.
