The referee ignored Club Atlético Talleres's protests and gave Luis Chaime a yellow card for diving instead. 21 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Talleres's goalkeeper Felipe Ekaitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bater Palma. Club Atlético Talleres's Felipe Ekaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bater Palma in the 22nd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Club Atlético Talleres's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Aloísio Donato struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Felipe Ekaitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CE LAJEADENSE RS. After 87th play minutes Bater Palma shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Felipe Ekaitz and just under the crossbar into goal. After 90 minutes, Aloísio Donato made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atlético Talleres's Felipe Ekaitz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. CE LAJEADENSE RS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
