An unexpectedly hard shot by 方海傲 in the 13th minute of play forced Aveiro FC's goalkeeper Gil Gouveia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th match minute, Aveiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilário Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. 白烨然 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Gouveia having to interfere. 白烨然 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 方海傲's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Gouveia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 方海傲 was the one to do the kick off. Aveiro FC's Gil Gouveia quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zakour Abdul Nasser, made in the 56th minute of the game. Gil Gouveia made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when 方海傲 sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sálvio Palha in the 60th minute of play forced ≮Empire≯ 福建蓝蛇's goalkeeper Peng Hai Xun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when 方海傲 got free with Gil Gouveia in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Egídio Sarmento hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, 方海傲 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Paulo Quintela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
