An unexpectedly hard shot by Rick Souness in the 7th minute of play forced Manaus FC's goalkeeper Cássio da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cássio da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Chaptal in the 7th minute of play. Cássio da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven Chaptal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Manaus FC defense, Steven Chaptal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cássio da Mata. The Manaus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio da Mata should have stopped the shot. When Elderslie Magpies's Corbett Alonso in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manaus FC's goalie prevented a goal. Steven Chaptal scored 0-4 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cássio da Mata, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Manaus FC booed when Elderslie Magpies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corbett Alonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rick Souness recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 29 played minutes Manaus FC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Hoffmann. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steven Chaptal in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cássio da Mata saved Manaus FC from getting behind. In the 33rd minute Rick Souness shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corbett Alonso took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cássio da Mata. Cássio da Mata dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 38th minute, Rick Souness left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elderslie Magpies fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. 41 minutes into the match, Rick Souness notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Manaus FC's Cássio da Mata. Cássio da Mata was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cássio da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corbett Alonso in the 48th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Steven Chaptal made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Manaus FC's Cássio da Mata got control of the ball when Steven Chaptal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Ovidio Etxekopar made a precise shot to the right of Cássio da Mata. Manaus FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. After 56 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Etxekopar. Elderslie Magpies's Aden Couzens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Veiga in the 57th minute of play. Cássio da Mata was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Corbett Alonso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 59 minute of play. Nicolas Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aden Couzens having to interfere. When Corbett Alonso came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Elderslie Magpies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corbett Alonso couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the game, Guilherme Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manaus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elderslie Magpies the free kick. In the 66th minute, Guilherme Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Fernando Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Manaus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Corbett Alonso came free, but Cássio da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Manaus FC's goalkeeper Cássio da Mata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steven Chaptal. Burns Muller kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Cássio da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corbett Alonso in the 76th minute of play. After 78 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Sam Mccartan. Elderslie Magpies made a substitution. Cipriano Gilabert replaced Neal Weatherby. Elderslie Magpies's Ryszard Cipa was substituted for Arty Behla. In the 79th match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sam Mccartan to maneuver through the defense. Rick Souness succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-11 in the 81st playminute. Cássio da Mata was a little too slow when Steven Chaptal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 0-12. 89 minutes into the match, Rick Souness dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cássio da Mata, 0-13. Cássio da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corbett Alonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Rick Souness kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cássio da Mata. That made the score 0-14 in the 95 minute of play. The Manaus FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Elderslie Magpies were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
