The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sixto Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdo Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Granate's Enzo Hermon got a free kick in the 6th minute. Sixto Quinten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Dantas in the 7th minute of the match. Donato Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Quinten having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Oliveira in the 11th minute of play forced Granate's goalkeeper Sixto Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Granate's Sixto Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Dantas in the 13th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Olivedos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Abelardo Maranhense had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Luisito Estevon's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Donato Oliveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sixto Quinten having to make a save. Sixto Quinten came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Olivedos's Valdo Dantas. But to his dismay, Valdo Dantas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sixto Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Dantas in the 37th minute of play forced Granate's goalkeeper Sixto Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Valdo Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sixto Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olivedos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luisinho Ceresso in the 44th minute. In the 45th match minute, Olivedos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Olivedos were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donato Oliveira to make the kick off. Enzo Hermon charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enzo Hermon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Olivedos made a substitution. Abel de Godoi replaced Donato Oliveira. Sixto Quinten made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Luisinho Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Granate booed when Olivedos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldinho Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Granate made a substitution. Damian Izotz replaced Miguel Macario. In the 58th minute, Osvaldinho Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Cássio Ferraz took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Sixto Quinten to make any attempt to save it. Abel de Godoi hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Valdo Dantas in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sixto Quinten, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sixto Quinten made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Abel de Godoi sent off a good shot on target. Olivedos's Luís Novaes was substituted for Valdo Dantas. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Granate's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luisinho Ceresso was slow to take the kick. During this time Olivedos's players had a chance to rest. Olivedos's Tony Schmidt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sixto Quinten in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 88th minute Cássio Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Granate's Sixto Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Ferraz in the 89th minute of play. The Granate fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Olivedos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
