After having played for 18 minutes, Artur Leenders managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kickers United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Leenders was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute, Luca Savino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. When Luca Savino came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Kickers United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luca Savino couldn't finish the play. Elano Ortiz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Luca Savino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dino Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Savino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Luca Savino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Corinthians Virtual FC defense, Luca Savino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dino Arósio. The Corinthians Virtual FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dino Arósio should have stopped the shot. Artur Leenders struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. After the first half Kickers United were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luca Savino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
