Esbjörn Apelquist came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Xl Team's Mateo Guillelmo. But to his dismay, Mateo Guillelmo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 10th minute Celso Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Cordeal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Bastos scored 1-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erubiel Cordeal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 18 minutes, Celso Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BELAJ BOYS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Celso Bastos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erubiel Cordeal was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Erubiel Cordeal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Ekelund in the 25th minute of play. If Ragnar Bålström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Bastos in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erubiel Cordeal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute, Ragnar Bålström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BELAJ BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Erubiel Cordeal came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by BELAJ BOYS's Celso Bastos. Ragnar Bålström hit a great ball. Gavril Tomozei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Cordeal having to interfere. Joseph Melin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erubiel Cordeal. Xl Team's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With 45 minutes on the clock, Ragnar Bålström commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to BELAJ BOYS getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ragnar Bålström hit a great ball. Braulio Stanislao's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esbjörn Apelquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hjalmar Ekelund to make the kick off. Hjalmar Ekelund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Erubiel Cordeal made a huge save. Zaaki Zakas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. BELAJ BOYS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Zaaki Zakas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erubiel Cordeal having to make a save. In the 58th match minute, Xl Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Tartalo to maneuver through the defense. Hjalmar Ekelund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Erubiel Cordeal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
