Spectators: 7459 (Terracing: 5595, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hamish McShimes got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hamish McShimes in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andries Van Mechelen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When LA MAQUINA F.C's Hamish McShimes in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye YR Mechelen's goalie prevented a goal. YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Turi in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th minute Rigoberto Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andries Van Mechelen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, Carlos Alberto Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA MAQUINA F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Alberto Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to YR Mechelen getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Diederik Van Mechelen hit a great ball. Carlos Alberto Pernambucano took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andries Van Mechelen. Andries Van Mechelen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paul-Louis Van Mechelen was the one to do the kick off. Raimundo Savion hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuur Candries in the 54th minute of play forced LA MAQUINA F.C's goalkeeper Higinio Porfiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andries Van Mechelen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Borja in the 56th minute of play. Andries Van Mechelen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Valentin Makovskiy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andries Van Mechelen. YR Mechelen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Makovskiy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. LA MAQUINA F.C's Edgard Nahia was substituted for Santo Colas. LA MAQUINA F.C's Osvaldo Linhares was substituted for Valentin Makovskiy. 68 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Pernambucano came free, but Andries Van Mechelen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Alberto Pernambucano scored 0-5 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andries Van Mechelen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Higinio Porfiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tuur Candries in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute of the match YR Mechelen got a corner. LA MAQUINA F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vincent Van Mechelen ran over to the corner to take the kick. 76 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Hamish McShimes came free, but Andries Van Mechelen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, LA MAQUINA F.C's Hamish McShimes made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andries Van Mechelen was left in no man's land by his defense there! LA MAQUINA F.C's Joel Min was substituted for Sérgio Berti. 87 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Andries Van Mechelen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Alberto Pernambucano. The crowd rose to their feet as Hamish McShimes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andries Van Mechelen. That made the score 0-7 in the 89 minute of play. Joel Min kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Carlos Alberto Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Andries Van Mechelen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, LA MAQUINA F.C's Hamish McShimes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. LA MAQUINA F.C's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
