An unexpectedly hard shot by Robben Spoelberchs in the 3rd minute of play forced Solskin's goalkeeper Kennet Kullander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robben Spoelberchs took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kennet Kullander. Kennet Kullander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Kennet Kullander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robben Spoelberchs in the 9th minute of the match. Kennet Kullander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfredo Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Robben Spoelberchs came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Castanheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robben Spoelberchs couldn't finish the play. Wincent Dropinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Ove Arenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Kennet Kullander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robben Spoelberchs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes of play, Castanheiro SC's Robben Spoelberchs made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kennet Kullander was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kennet Kullander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Stefano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Solskin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Randy Lee didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Wincent Dropinski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kanu Kanu. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robben Spoelberchs was the one to do the kick off. Amanda Zigiotti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Wincent Dropinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Robben Spoelberchs recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kennet Kullander. Robben Spoelberchs showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Castanheiro SC's Shi Cheng Chao was substituted for Hélder Schmidt. In the 58thth minute of the game Robben Spoelberchs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Solskin's Kennet Kullander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wincent Dropinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Henriksson in the 61st minute of the match. Robben Spoelberchs did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Kennet Kullander 62 minutes into the match. Wincent Dropinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amanda Zigiotti, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Robben Spoelberchs might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kennet Kullander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robben Spoelberchs ran back to his position shaking his head. Kennet Kullander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robben Spoelberchs in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Stefano in the 69th minute of play forced Solskin's goalkeeper Kennet Kullander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Alfredo Stefano notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Solskin's Kennet Kullander. Kennet Kullander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alfredo Stefano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Castanheiro SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 77th minute Robben Spoelberchs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kennet Kullander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig-Ove Arenius hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The long shot by Daniel Romero in the 79th minute really tested Kennet Kullander's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The Castanheiro SC fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Castanheiro SC's Robben Spoelberchs looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-10 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Solskin's Kanu Kanu got a free kick in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Stefano got free with Kennet Kullander in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Solskin were furious when Randy Lee was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 91st minute, one of Solskin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Solskin.
