The supporters of Los Galacticos booed when Ponte do Carro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. A collision led to Los Galacticos getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Wu Mo hit a great ball. Despite this Armindo Maltez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Los Galacticos getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Pang Xing Lang hit a great ball. Los Galacticos's Sun Ying Yan got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd match minute, Ponte do Carro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. Sun Ying Yan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Maltez having to interfere. Los Galacticos's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ponte do Carro had won, even though Los Galacticos had held more of the ball.
